Online Experience

Distance Learning
The online lessons prepare the scholars for their week at JSC and familiarize them with space exploration.

• Liftoff (Reading material, multimedia links and tutorials)
• Quiz (10 questions based on reading material)
• Mission (Assignment consisting of essay, math problem, and even numbered lessons require a graphic)
• Extended Mission (Optional links and additional information)

WISH participants are required to complete 8 lessons and final project. These activities are submitted through our online system. Each assignment is graded by a certified educator through our online system. 

Online Discussions/Chat Room:
Scholars participate with NASA engineers and scientists in on-line discussions during the year. These online discussions focus on subjects important to girls as well as the centralized theme of space exploration.

Final Projects:
Scholars submit a final project before arriving at JSC in the summer. Scholars will respond to a pre-selected topic related to women in STEM career fields.
